Obie has been painting since he can remember. “I began drawing when I was a child and I just didn’t stop as most people do”, is his response to the question of how he learned to paint. He is totally self- taught and his main interest is experimenting with textures and various media to create art that people want to touch - this gives his paintings their distinctive style.

Obie has such a style of whimsy and sheer joy that his works have become increasingly sought after.

He enjoys the fact that people who are drawn to his art, experience love at first sight.
